CareFirst for LifeSM - Gain Support

The CareFirst for LifeSM Program is an online resource that provides continuous educational support, numerous product offerings, and other benefits to cystic fibrosis patients and their loved ones. Enrollment in the CareFirst for LifeSM Program is free for CF patients taking Ultrase®/Ultrase® MT (pancrelipase) capsules.

Members of CareFirst for LifeSM have access to a number of programs and services:

Online resources

Content on the CareFirst for LifeSM Web site is customized according to age: children (newborn to 12 years), teens (13 to 17 years), and adults (18 and over). Each section contains educational information as well as patient interviews regarding the following topics:

  • Nutrition: tips for food, recipes, and healthy eating habits
  • Physical activity: examples of safe and effective exercise
  • Telling others about CF: advice on sharing a diagnosis
  • CF health care team: explains the importance of maintaining a relationship with health care professionals
  • Treatments and medications: discusses the importance of enzymes and supplements

Rewards program

CareFirst for LifeSM is the only patient support program for CF that offers a unique, points-based rewards system. Members can earn points by:

  • Answering quiz questions pertaining to certain content on the Web site
  • Watching patient/parent videos
  • Logging in on their birthday

Rewards include gift cards, electronics (MP3 players, video recorders), housewares (air purifiers, hand mixers), sporting equipment, and more.
